JAKARTA - Menteri Kominfo Tifatul Sembiring mengatakan bahwa jasa hacker lokal sebenarnya dibutuhkan untuk menghadang serangan hack luar negeri.

"Jasa hacker lokal sebenarnya sangat kita butuhkan untuk menghalau serangan hack dari luar negeri," ujar Tifatul di sela-sela acara pembukaan ICT Award, di JCC, Jakarta, Selasa (4/10/2011).

Tifatul mengatakan bahwa sebenarnya para hacker itu kreatif, namun ilmunya dicurahkan untuk hal yang negatif. "Kemampuan mereka yang hebat tersebut sebenarnya bisa kita arahkan dan tampung untuk hal-hal yang positif," ujarnya.

Politisi asal Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS) itu juga mengatakan bahwa pemerintah sangat terbuka bagi para hacker yang ingin terlibat di sektor pertahanan cyber Indonesia, terutama di era cyber-war ini.

"Karena kalau bukan dengan hacker juga, siapa lagi yang cukup pintar untuk menghadapi hacker?" imbuh Tifatul.
